Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The Refrigeration Technician will provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team. They will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment, as well as conducting emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed. Troubleshooting issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and minimizing downtime due to equipment failure are essential aspects of this role.
Duties:
- Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure safe and effective equipment operation.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
- Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment safely.
- Interact effectively with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
- Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge: Refrigeration systems, components, and controls, including experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
